  1. When I saw this picture, I immediately thought of the horrific depictions of what toxic dinoflagellates could do. It made me truly grasp how terrifying the newly discovered toxic dinoflagellate was, because it's so difficult to detect. With some other toxic dinoflagellates, people know to stay away because of the distinctive red sheen on the water.

  2. I read up to the part where Gail and her family solved the mystery of her illness. Who knew some marine delicacy can harvest a super-pathogen that could be so undetectable!
